About the Job The Advertiser Platform (AP) team drives better business outcomes for ads customers through automation and critically important platforms, encouraging long-term investments with Google. The AP Product Analytics (APPA) team enables the AP team to make data-driven decisions by building tooling, maintaining datasets, and by measuring and delivering insights for improving key metrics for our scaled and automated Google Ads products. The AP Creatives team's mission is to empower advertisers of all sizes to achieve success through high-performing, on-brand, and policy-compliant ad creatives. We are building some of Google's fastest-growing and most exciting products around automation and AI, including generative AI creative tools, to help advertisers create personalized ads at scale.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000‑$229,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The salary range is determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
8 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) (or 5 years of experience with a Master’s degree).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
Responsibilities
Perform deeply technical analyses with unstructured data (e.g., logs) to assess the success of the Ads Platform in delivering optimal performance for advertisers.
Investigate fundamental business and product strategy questions; deliver deep insights on specific topics and areas to provoke new feature/product ideas, identify new interventions to drive advertiser value and business impact, identify key drivers of success and anticipate future trends.
Design and evaluate experiments to help the team understand how product changes affect advertiser performance.
Steward our metrics ecosystem that captures the incremental impact the AP team delivers for Google’s business and our advertisers.
