Meets and exceeds revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts in a profitable win‑win selling approach. Achieves a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals, as established by management. Leads direct reports to achieve the properties’ sales goals and holds them accountable to essential duties and responsibilities. Direct Sales targets appointment‑oriented sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established by department budget and marketing plan. Must have reliable transportation and a valid state driver’s license to make sales calls. Key Account Management: maximizes current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth. New Account Development: captures competitor accounts through networking, research, and reader board surveys to target and solicit those most likely to generate new business. Plans and implements an ongoing targeted account development “hit list” to create new revenue and acquire valuable hotel contacts and contracts. Plans and implements e‑commerce and internet marketing strategies. Promotes the brand and hotel story in the market to increase overall profitability. Adjusts the sales plan according to changes in business and marketing trends, aggressively pursuing market mix and business that best supports the hotel’s success and meets or exceeds budgeted goals in sales, profit, and occupancy. Maintains current knowledge of the competition and all hotel operations, applying current state‑of‑the‑art sales techniques and practices. Targets and prospects new business through telemarketing, creativity, and innovation. Yield Management: negotiates room rates and function space commitments to enhance financial performance. Account Service and Management: maintains a well‑documented, accurate, organized, and up‑to‑date file system to serve clients efficiently. Develops strong customer relations through frequent communication and professional, courteous, ethical interaction. Develops customer profiles and maintains an effective trace system to meet client needs and increase revenue. Promptly follows up on all customer needs and inquiries efficiently. Product Knowledge: researches, surveys, investigates, and studies the marketplace and territory to capitalize on strengths and competitor weaknesses. Time Management: focuses on revenue‑producing activity, dedicating a minimum 90% of work time to direct sales efforts. Professionalism: controls expenses and travel on the property’s behalf to minimize costs. Represents the hotel and Sage Hospitality Resources, Inc. with integrity, professionalism, service focus, and a caring attitude at all times. Exhibits a positive team attitude, maintains open communications with all co‑workers for overall performance. Display a neat, clean, and business‑like appearance at all times. Education / Formal Training

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Experience

4+ years of hotel sales management experience. Knowledge / Skills

3‑5 years sales management experience. Knowledge of general sales techniques, yield management, and customer service skills. Ability to travel. Fluent English (speaking, reading, writing). 12th grade level mathematics, spelling, and reading skills. Effective business writing skills. Vision to read fine print and computer screens, observe rooms in poorly lit conditions. Understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Organized. Able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Develop strong internal and customer relationships. Set and manage priorities and plan activities in advance. Adhere to deadlines. Solve problems and make sound business decisions. Physical Demands
