Director, Corporate Affairs & Communications – TransUnion Join us at TransUnion to lead strategic public affairs and issues communications, building understanding and support for matters affecting our business. This role is responsible for nurturing TransUnion’s reputation as a global information and insights company.

As the communications partner to the U.S. Government Relations team, you will align strategy with TransUnion’s interests with policymakers and other stakeholders, delivering measurable outcomes. You will lead response to U.S. business issues, collaborate internationally, and improve crisis readiness through ongoing communication, training and tabletop exercises.

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in corporate, agency, government, or campaign/political setting.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field, and/or professional qualification.

Strategic communications mindset with a strong track record in developing, executing, and measuring strategic programs.

Exceptional written, editing, and presenting skills; ability to represent and negotiate for TransUnion.

Deep experience developing media strategy and cultivating reporter and influencer relationships.

Expertise in policy-related communications to U.S. legislative and regulatory bodies.

Expertise in crisis management and corporate issues management preferred.

Diplomacy and consultative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to coach senior executives on strategic communication matters.

Proven team leadership and talent development.

Comfortable with change, deadline pressure, and strong resource management.

Creativity, flexibility, and initiative.

Occasional travel (5–10%).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in information or financial services.

Experience communicating with a diverse international audience.

Advanced degree.

Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Frenchli>

Influence the future of our business by leading U.S. public affairs and issues communication strategy.

Build and protect the company’s reputation as part of crisis/incident communications.

Lead Centers of Excellence for public affairs and issues; develop scalable best practices.

Serve as strategic communications counsel to internal stakeholders.

Develop productive media relationships and handle pitches and background briefings.

Collaborate with industry organizations and partners on communication campaigns.

Coaching and mentoring direct reports and wider team.

Set annual goals and priorities aligned to stakeholders.

Maintain core materials for ongoing corporate programs.

Support additional strategic projects as required.

Hybrid Work This is a hybrid position requiring regular virtual work as well as in-person attendance at a TransUnion office for a minimum of two days a week.

Compensation U.S. base salary range: $150,100 – $225,000 annually. Total compensation may include bonus and long‑term incentives based on company guidance.
