Director, Industry Marketing – Consumer & Retail

We are currently seeking a Director, Industry Marketing, Consumer & Retail to join our Marketing team.
Responsibilities
Develop the “Go to Market” (GTM) strategy and overarching story for KPMG's Consumer and Retail industry.
Manage coordination and execution of an integrated cross‑functional marketing plan to establish brand, support relationship development, and grow with target audiences and sales channels.
Execute the sector’s thought leadership strategy, ensuring adherence with quality standards, and extend across an omni‑channel approach (digital, social media, video, podcast, webinar, blogs, association affiliation, and tradeshow sponsorships).
Partner with Field Marketing, Hub Marketing, Communications, Media Relations, and Industry analyst community to augment brand reach.
Perform market research to inform strategic Point of View (POV) documents as critical changes take place in the industry.
Diagnose client and prospect needs, translate into qualifications and use cases, and architect the positioning to solve critical client marketing opportunities; identify events or venues that attract targeted buyers and influencers to increase brand awareness or change brand image and potentially drive sales and/or create positive publicity that drives new opportunities.
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum ten years of recent experience in combined marketing and business in professional services or similar corporate environments.
Master of Business Administration degree preferred; minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required.
Consumer and Retail experience preferred; project management, internal client service knowledge, and budget management also preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication skills and executive presence.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future. KPMG LLP will not sponsor U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.
