Role Overview
As an
Intermediate Architectural Designer , you will work directly with the client, governing agencies, all consultants and other team members to deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will strike a balance between design and technical solutions to keep the project on track. You must possess excellent time management and proactively manage project details and teammates assigned to your project.
Key Job Functions
Managing multiple project types across multiple jurisdictions, leading from feasibility study to permit.
Reporting directly to the VP of Design, leading a rapidly growing team with plans for expansion.
Balancing real‑estate development challenges while maintaining high‑velocity product delivery.
Managing and coordinating multiple project efforts—administrative and technical—to ensure efficient, cost‑effective execution through all phases: Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
Serving as primary contact liaison to bring the development strategy’s requirements, schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion.
Providing oversight and mentoring to less experienced staff to foster professional development.
Ensuring project compliance with contractual agreements, company quality standards, and code requirements.
Investing in a culture of belonging, equity, and impact.
Core Expectations
Collaborate with Drafters and Design Principals to produce comprehensive plans for city submission.
Coordinate among consultants to develop precise contract drawings, documents, and specifications for permits.
Work closely with senior staff and the technical project team to enhance progress and coordinate task scheduling.
Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture or related field, or equivalent education, experience, or training.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents and effective communication through writing and presentations.
Intermediate mathematical skills: calculations, proportions, percentages, basic algebra and geometry.
Required Skills
Proficiency in CAD software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Professional.
Experience working on Schematic, Design Development, and CD documentation.
