We are hiring an organized and detail‑oriented individual to join our Page team at the Columbine Library! You will ensure library materials are shelved accurately and create a positive and inviting atmosphere for all patrons. Your work will be with staff and volunteers and you will contribute to the care of the library collection. Wage The starting wage for this position is $16.00 or the applicable minimum wage, whichever is higher.
Responsibilities
Core Library Service: Participate in tasks such as creating high‑level customer service skills to determine patron needs, instruct patrons in use of self‑check‑out machines, process materials, perform basic author/title searches, prepare items to be shelved or repaired, maintain records, and assist with equipment.
Customer Service: Answer in‑person inquiries, help patrons locate materials, ensure adherence to policies, notify operations or supervisors of problems, use library computer systems and automated equipment, and submit records and reports as required.
Merchandising: Participate in the design/creation of displays and informational/directional aids, ensure access to all materials, and assist with the general appearance and safety of the location.
Operational Organization: Build and maintain current knowledge of the library profession, stay current on new trends and technologies, participate in staff and division meetings, assist in coordinating volunteer work, keep current on library policies, and monitor adherence to policies.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ability to stand, bend, crouch, stretch, and push book carts for four or more hours.
Ability to exert 20‑50 lbs. occasionally, 10‑25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
Available to work 20 hours per week, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Allowed to work up to 40 hours per week if additional shifts available.
Page shifts are 4 hours/day but could be scheduled up to 8 hours/day.
