In the role of Plumbing Designer, you will have the opportunity:

Perform complex building plumbing design and drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques.

Model plumbing piping systems layouts and perform plumbing calculations.

Prepare riser diagrams, equipment layouts, plumbing details, and other detailed drawings required for construction under the supervision of a Mechanical Designer or Engineer.

Work independently with oversight from the Mechanical Engineer and may direct the efforts of less experienced BIM Designers.

Able to coordinate equipment and piping system layouts with other disciplines.

Conduct short-term field assignments at client facilities to support project work as needed. Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in a Technology program or combination of education and relevant experience

Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm

Experience in plumbing drafting of all phases of the construction documents

Knowledge of procedures for production of design developments and construction documents, a thorough knowledge of engineering planning, drafting, and detailing.

Experience in the design of plumbing systems for commercial, industrial or institutional projects.

Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications

Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience

A minimum of 5 years related industry experience

Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure

Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tool

Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools

Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts

Knowledge of industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organizational traits are essential
