Overview The School of Art in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas is seeking a Sr. Graphic Designer under the direction of the Chief of Staff and Director of Communications. The position is integral to the School of Art communications team, delivering marketing, creative services, web administration, and visual content designed to propel art education and research. The role involves multimedia content creation, production, and distribution to a wide range of audiences, including students, faculty staff, alumni, donors, local and regional communities, and artists, designers, and art scholars worldwide.

Responsibilities

Create print and digital materials including banners, ads, publications, digital content, web design, and social media content.

Use innovation, imagination, originality, and skills to take projects from concept to delivery.

Manage and execute website and social media platforms in collaboration with Assistant Director Communications.

Participate in project assessment and meetings, present to key stakeholders.

Manage School of Art graphic design interns.

Ensure projects align with branding, objectives, and targeted audiences.

Maintain regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance and collegial relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or related field.

At least two years of professional experience working in graphic design, art, marketing, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Expert level experience in Adobe Creative Suite and strong working level capabilities with MS Office Suite.

Experience working with video, 3D animation, and interactive graphics.

Experience working in higher education.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of human-centered design methodology and/or design thinking principles.

Knowledge of HTML/CSS, WordPress, or other Content Management Systems.

Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate project goals.

Ability to create and maintain project management systems.

Self‑starter with strict attention to detail, capable of multitasking across multiple projects in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment.

Ability to deliver complex projects while meeting deadlines.

Additional Information This position is renewable annually based on continued need, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.

Salary $56,123 – $63,138
