Education and Experience High School Diploma, GED, or higher, and four (4) years of paraprofessional experience in a customer service, public safety, public works, law enforcement support, dispatching, or security support role, with at least two (2) years in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Licenses and Certifications Valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License or equivalent from another state by the date of appointment.

Airport Ground Transportation Under direction, supervise the coordination of assigned specialized public transportation and assist in airport security operations. Plan, organize, and control airport ground transportation services, including shuttle buses and parking, communications and dispatch, and security systems. Responsibilities include establishing work priorities, assigning tasks, and monitoring work progress; preparing daily and periodic reports; monitoring budget expenditures; requisitioning supplies and materials; monitoring airport operations; performing periodic or random inspections and perimeter checks to ensure compliance with FAA regulations; providing security training to airport employees; overseeing electronic security systems, including closed‑circuit television and automated access control systems; overseeing and troubleshooting airport computer‑based information systems; coordinating system enhancements and security access; maintaining system security and performing periodic backups; interacting with federal, state, and local law enforcement; and providing emergency response and notification. Also responsible for training, scheduling, managing, and inspecting aviation worker screening operations in compliance with TSA National Amendments.

Mass Transit Demand Response Plan, organize, and control mass transit demand response transportation services, communications, dispatch, and schedule preparation. Establish work priorities, assign tasks, and monitor progress; prepare daily and periodic reports; monitor budget; oversee communication systems, radio frequencies, and software programs; direct dispatching activities to ensure courteous and tactful telephone service; direct the design of daily para‑transit coach routes; develop coach operator work assignments and sign‑up lists based on policy and service standards; approve changes to accommodate requests and detours; direct coach operators to ensure passenger satisfaction, timeliness, efficiency, and safety; comply with FTA and ADA regulations and other applicable rules; arrange on‑field investigations of accidents and injuries; respond to passenger complaints; inspect coaches for functionality and appearance.

Staff Supervision Supervise assigned staff: assign, schedule, and monitor work; appraise employee performance; provide training and development; interview applicants; recommend hiring, discipline, termination or other status changes subject to management approval; enforce personnel rules and regulations and safe work standards; approve leave requests and document absences. Perform related duties as required during absences.
