About the Job
We are looking for a passionate and strategic
Social Media & Community Manager
to be the voice of our online book club across all digital platforms. This role is crucial for fostering our vibrant reading community, driving member engagement, and expanding our reach to new book lovers globally. If you're a creative storyteller with a love for literature and a knack for digital trends, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Execute Strategy:
Design and implement a multi-platform social media strategy (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) to increase brand awareness and engagement.
Content Creation:
Create, curate, and publish engaging, on‑brand content (graphics, short‑form video/Reels, polls, etc.) that promotes the monthly book and sparks discussion.
Community Engagement:
Actively manage the online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions to foster a welcoming, interactive environment.
Drive Membership:
Strategically use social channels to drive traffic to the book club's sign‑up/website and increase overall membership.
Partner/Author Outreach:
Coordinate with authors, publishers, or book influencers for interviews, Q&A’s, and promotional partnerships.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience
managing social media accounts, preferably for a niche brand, publisher, or book‑related community.
Exceptional copywriting skills with a clear, engaging, and consistent brand voice.
Proficiency in content creation and editing tools (e.g., Canva, mobile video editing apps).
A genuine passion for reading, books, and the literary community.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a content calendar and meet deadlines.
