Position Summary
The Web Designer is responsible for designing the overall layout and aesthetic for websites. Duties include coding webpages or entire websites, proof and refinement of designs, and running tests to preview layouts and website features. Must have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Build beautiful and robust websites for a large membership of appliance, bedding, furniture, and electronics clients.
- Design website graphics and assets.
- Design and/or re-create client-provided logos and assets.
- Occasionally complete special projects.
- Work with Directors and Team Leads on creative direction and refinement.
- Work with Website Project Specialists to understand and implement client feedback.
- Utilize performance data and client feedback to concept, design, and build new website themes as requested.
Remote Work / Travel
This position will work remotely from a home address and is subject to AVBs Remote Work policies. From time to time, the position will require travel for events such as AVBs Annual All-Employee Meeting and other travel obligations including conferences and client meetings.

- Great follow-up on projects and deliverables.
- Ability to take and apply creative direction and constructive criticism from Directors, Leads, and Team Members.
Education and Experience
- BA in Graphic/Web Design.
- Advanced knowledge of CSS and HTML.
- Knowledge of JavaScript (not required, but a plus).
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating websites, landing pages, and other examples of great UI.
- Knowledge of Responsive Web Design principles.
- Knowledge of AI design tools and/or WordPress (a plus).
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
