About Pulley

Pulley’s mission is to make it easier for anyone to start a company. We believe that more startups should exist and that founder‑led companies are more successful in the long term. With Pulley’s cap table management tools, companies can better understand and optimize their equity for the long term. Starting a company is hard enough. Managing equity shouldn’t be.

As AI reshapes how companies operate, we’re exploring what equity management looks like in an AI‑native world. We believe there’s an opportunity to redefine how early‑stage leaders build and manage their companies. It’s a brand‑new, unsolved challenge—and we’re building a solution that leverages our strengths to meet it.

Our trajectory is fueled by top investors like Founders’ Fund, Stripe, General Catalyst, Caffeinated Capital, 8vc, Elad Gil, among other great angels. Pulley is growing quickly with over 4,000 customers including startups such as Linear, Runway, Fathom, and Roam, and we’re expanding the team to meet the demand.

Design at Pulley: We believe exceptional design is our competitive advantage. In a space traditionally dominated by clunky, compliance‑first software, we’re proving that B2B financial tools can be intuitive, delightful, and even beautiful. Design has a seat at the table from day one—our designers partner directly with engineering and product leadership to shape not just how our product looks, but how it fundamentally works.

About the role

As companies scale, the complexity of asset management multiplies. We need a design leader who can transform intricate compliance requirements, financial calculations, and multi‑stakeholder workflows into experiences that feel effortless. This isn’t about making incremental improvements—it’s about reimagining what modern equity and token management should feel like in an AI‑native world.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who obsesses over craft, operates autonomously, and can navigate the intersection of sophisticated financial systems and delightful user experiences. You’ll own end‑to‑end design for critical product features, continue raising the quality bar, and help define what exceptional B2B design looks like.

We need a maker – someone who ships exceptional work in weeks, not quarters , while never compromising on quality. You’ll partner directly with your fellow product and engineering leads to turn ambitious ideas into shipped features that thousands of founders rely on daily.

What you’ll do

  • Own the craft: Drive end‑to‑end design for high‑impact product features, from initial concepts to pixel‑perfect execution.
  • Ship with velocity: Move fast without sacrificing quality, knowing when to iterate quickly and when to obsess over the last 1 %.
  • Prototype to persuade: Build interactive prototypes that bring ideas to life (from Figma to code), making the abstract tangible.
  • Turn compliance into delight: Transform complex, regulation‑heavy workflows into intuitive experiences that users actually enjoy.
  • Drive thorough research: Plan and conduct UX research, synthesize insights with data, and let user needs guide bold design decisions.
  • Elevate the system: Contribute and up‑level our design system with sophisticated components and new patterns that scale across our growing product suite.

What you bring

  • 5+ years shipping exceptional product design, with proven experience in complex B2B or fintech environments.
  • You have taste: You know what great design feels like and won’t settle for less.
  • Demonstrated craft excellence: A portfolio showing polished, shipped work with measurable business impact.
  • Prototype fluency: Ability to communicate ideas through various mediums (Figma, interactive prototypes, code).
  • Builder mentality: You’ve taken features from 0 → 1 and helped scale these into mature products through collaboration within your team.
  • Systems expansion: Experience contributing to and scaling design systems that handle enterprise complexity.
  • Research rigor: You’ve co‑led or partnered on user research from planning through synthesis, turning insights into action.
  • Operates with agency: You don’t wait to be told what to do; you identify opportunities and drive them forward.
  • Storytelling prowess: Can articulate design decisions with clarity and conviction to any audience.

Nice to haves

  • You’ve designed AI‑powered experiences (human‑in‑the‑loop workflows, prompt patterns, guardrails).
  • Experience with data visualization and information‑dense interfaces.
  • You’ve worked closely with engineering, maybe even shipped some code yourself.
  • Track record at high‑growth startups where you’ve worn multiple hats.
  • You’re drawn to unsexy problems that have massive impact when solved well.

You’ll know you’re successful when

  • Your work becomes the reference point for exceptional design at Pulley.
  • Engineers seek you out as a partner because your designs are both ambitious and implementable.
  • You’ve shipped features that meaningfully move our business metrics.
  • Other designers come to you for feedback, knowing you’ll push them to be better.
  • Customers mention specific interactions you’ve designed as reasons they chose Pulley.
  • You’ve elevated design quality across multiple product areas, not just your own.

Why work at Pulley

  • We’re building a product with traction … – Our product has traction and we’re building on a solid foundation, but we’re still early enough in our journey where your work will directly shape the company’s trajectory as we scale.
  • Make it easier for anyone to start a company – Founders turn bold ideas into reality. Starting a company is hard enough. Managing equity shouldn’t be.

    • Good taste over data – Take bold bets and trust your instincts.
