Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: SPT Specialty: Central Sterile Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: Sterile processing certification preferred Must-Have: - 1 year of experience in sterile processing Description: 12-hour shift position available for a Sterile Processing Technician. The unit has 11 operating rooms and processes 100-210 trays. There are 10 staff members working in the unit. Candidates must have experience with Steris Washers, Steris autoclave, V Max Pro, and TD 200. Electronic medical record system is CensiTrac. There are no on-call requirements. Weekend shifts may be scheduled as required by the unit. Typical procedures performed include total hip arthroplasty, total knee arthroplasty, total shoulder arthroplasty, lumbar spine procedures, cervical spine procedures, laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hysterectomies, abscess incision and drainage, amputations, pediatric dental, coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic valve replacement/mitral valve replacement, and mastectomy. The ideal candidate should possess a strong skill set in sterile processing and be a team player.
