Audacy Norfolk is looking for a dynamic Part‑Time On‑Air (Co)Host/Content Creator/Influencer who can deliver lifestyle headlines in a focused, creative, and compelling manner and loves to entertain. Technical proficiency, constant social media connection, live public appearances, and production are all part of what we do.
This is a pipeline posting. We continually look for exceptional talent to join our team and will reach out when a suitable opening arises.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.
- Participate in and create original content for all social media platforms, managing online personality presence.
- Protect the station’s FCC license.
- Monitor music and commercial logs for the airshift.
- Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly.
- Operate the control board and perform production work.
- Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts.
- Other duties as required by management.
Qualifications
- Must be an excellent communicator with strong creative skills; solid production skills and a good working knowledge of studio audio equipment, including Audio Vault, Wide Orbit, VoxPro, and Adobe Audition.
- Knowledge of the format and audience required.
- Familiar with FCC guidelines.
- Excellent on‑air voice with a proven track record in media.
- A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of the applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Majority of the workday will be spent sitting at the broadcast board, speaking into a microphone, and manipulating board controls.
