Our client, a leading branding agency in New York City, is seeking a highly talented and conceptual Senior Brand Designer for a full‑time freelance engagement. In this role, you’ll collaborate with Creative Directors and Design Leads to develop imaginative, strategic, and visually compelling brand worlds. You’ll work across identity systems, digital expressions, and campaign storytelling to help brands come to life through design craft, conceptual thinking, and cultural insight. This is a full‑time contract position, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
Partner with Creative Directors and Design Leads to concept and design comprehensive brand systems that express strategy through strong visual storytelling
Develop design solutions across a range of applications — from identity to digital content and campaign assets — maintaining consistency and creative integrity
Translate abstract ideas into tangible visuals that balance bold creativity with strategic clarity
Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and present design work to internal stakeholders and clients with confidence
Ensure all deliverables are polished, production‑ready, and aligned with project timelines and creative goals
Explore and integrate emerging tools, technologies, and techniques (including motion, 3D, or AI‑based design) to elevate creative output
Contribute to a collaborative studio culture that values curiosity, experimentation, and craft excellence
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional design experience in branding, visual identity, or related fields within an agency or studio environment
Proven ability to translate strategic thinking into strong, cohesive design systems
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; familiarity with motion or 3D design tools is a plus
Exceptional sense of typography, layout, and color, with a meticulous attention to detail
Strong conceptual and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate design intent clearly and persuasively
Self‑motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting
Deep awareness of contemporary culture and design trends, with a passion for pushing creative boundaries
