About Us vineyard vines is a highly successful, privately held, American clothing and accessory retailer founded in 1998 on Martha’s Vineyard by brothers, Shep & Ian Murray. Overview vineyard vines is looking for a dynamic soft goods photographer, with a strong portfolio, to work in our high volume, in-house photo studio. The ideal candidate will be accomplished in still photography, have a strong visual vocabulary of best in class campaign and eComm imagery, and have the ability to deliver consistency while continually pushing the creative boundaries in image making. The ability to work within and across small interdependent teams is a must, as well as an understanding of the balance needed between artistry, communication, and partnership. The successful candidate will bring both technical and creative innovation to high-volume photographic workflows, optimizing efficiency and production in-studio.
Key Responsibilities
Execute high-quality soft good photography used in vineyard vines’ website and marketing; maintain consistently high standards for accuracy, aesthetics, and productivity
Evolve and maintain photography style guides, in partnership with the eComm Art Director, for vineyard vines’ photo studios
Partner with Art Directors in concepting and creating imagery for all seasonal marketing campaigns
Innovate and lead best in class image making in the lifestyle marketing and eCommerce space
Key stakeholder in the utilization of proprietary PIM system to accurately track studio workflow and productivity
Partner with soft goods styling team to continuously improve image quality and capture for the highest quality customer experience
Drive decisive on-set troubleshooting of photography challenges
Be on the forefront of photographic technology and implementation, striving for continuous improvement of workflows and processes both in-studio and cross functionally
Monitor and upholds extremely high safety and quality standards
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in photography or related field required
5+ years professional experience in a commercial photography studio
Team focused and collaborative in nature
Professional photography portfolio that demonstrates a working knowledge of digital photography, including lighting, composition, color quality, and aesthetics
Proficient working knowledge of still imaging software for Mac platforms
Strong working knowledge of professional photography camera, lighting, and grip equipment
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Capture One Pro
DAM and PIM experience preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
Accustomed to the intensity of the studio environment, and unshrinking under deadline pressure
Shooting experience in an e-commerce photo studio
Self-driven and able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment
Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver
