Job Summary:

The Data Visualization Analyst will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into compelling visual narratives that inform and guide strategic business decisions. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and content production, to develop insights that enhance our audience engagement. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a strong analytical background and a passion for storytelling through data.

Job Responsibilities

Analyze large data sets from various sources (TV ratings, radio listenership, digital engagement metrics, etc.) to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Create visually appealing and easy-to-understand dashboards, reports, and presentations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

Work closely with marketing, sales, and content teams to understand their data needs and translate those requirements into actionable insights. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices for data collection, storage, and processing. Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to maintain and improve data infrastructure.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making. Utilize data to understand market trends, audience behavior, and competitive positioning.

Respond to ad hoc data and analysis requests from various departments, providing timely and accurate insights to support business objectives.

Administer Tableau server environment: version upgrades; user provisioning; usability optimization.

Additional ad hoc data analysis.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Schedule This is a full-time position primarily working 40 hours per week. You may also be called upon at times to fill in other hours and days of the week to help cover vacations, illnesses, or special projects/events. This position is not eligible to work remotely.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Computer Science, MSIS, or Economics, or other field providing training in data preparation, numeracy, business acumen, and communication.

Two to three years related experience preferred.

Understanding of basic statistics and a high level of overall numeracy.

Ability to present complex information graphically and verbally.

Technical proficiency: basic programming skills or ability to learn, ability to manage software updates, comfort with combining large data sets from disparate sources, working knowledge of Windows OS & Microsoft Office suite, ability to learn new systems & tools.

Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), data analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python, R), and Excel. Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present data in a clear and compelling manner to non‑technical audiences.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in work processes and deliverables.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Ability to work well with, direct and gain the cooperation of others. Must maintain confidentiality of company performance data, personnel matters, company strategies, etc.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
