Summary
Evaluates education technology programs and recommends integration into the curriculum. Collaborates with instructional departments and campuses to integrate technology into curriculum and instructional practices. Distinguishing Features
Provides support related to blended and multimedia learning, computer‑aided educational applications, and student learning and assessment. Serves as lead Learning Management System (LMS) administrator for the college. Essential Duties
Evaluates educational technology programs and recommends integration into the curriculum. Develops project flow for educational products and courses from content design to delivery strategies. Researches, designs, tests, and implements interactive learning environments. Implements dynamic and adaptive technology‑based instruction and adult‑focused learning systems following modern teaching theories. Sets up quality assurance testing procedures and prepares training content for deployed learning systems. Conducts in‑service training and mentoring of faculty and project team members on deployed learning systems and instructional design. Collaborates with academic deans, chairs, faculty, and subject‑matter experts to improve college courses and learning tools. Calibrates LMS administration activities, coordinates LMS team meetings, and evaluates, implements, and maintains third‑party LMS tools. Manages requirements and customization needs for faculty and users, represents the college at district LMS committee meetings, and documents use cases and test procedures. Ensures system reliability, liaises with vendors, researches LMS upgrades, and participates in beta testing. Provides tier‑2 technical support for LMS and other technology tools, and liaises with tier‑3 support personnel. Partners with faculty to design student‑engaging, instructional‑sound course content and consults on leading‑edge instructional technologies. Conducts additional related duties as assigned to support the position’s objectives. Knowledge and Skills
Specialized professional knowledge of instructional design theories and adult learning styles. Knowledge of interactive educational technologies, software applications, and terminology. Understanding of computer‑mediated learning methods and techniques. Working knowledge of district operating systems, desktop productivity software, and cross‑platform issues. Working knowledge of web‑based networks, handheld and mobile devices. Familiarity with web development, multimedia tools, courseware authoring tools, and instructional technology. Business math skills sufficient to prepare cost estimates. Proficiency in written and oral communication, including clear, step‑by‑step instructions and explanations. Strong human relations skills for delivering in‑service education to educators and users. Abilities
Ability to perform essential responsibilities and functions of the position. Ability to develop and sequence phases and activities of efficient project management. Ability to apply advanced principles of instructional design and learn how people learn and connect instruction to learning audiences. Ability to evaluate, design, and produce usable interactive instruction, advanced remote help, multimedia demonstrations, and documentation. Ability to organize and coordinate the delivery of training. Ability to deliver in‑service instruction to groups of varying knowledge and skill levels. Ability to convey educational technology goals and imaginative application of curriculum in classroom and remote device environments. Ability to write and orally convey concepts to individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds. Ability to work in a changing environment and manage multiple priorities. Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse population of educators and students. Physical Abilities

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent plus five years of progressive experience maintaining and developing computer systems and applications. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree and six years of experience may be accepted. Preferred expertise in software development, systems engineering, architecture, and/or information security. Licenses and Certificates
