About the Role
The VP, Brand & Product Marketing leads a high-performing team responsible for driving brand strategy, menu and product marketing, and consumer insights for a multi-billion-dollar U.S. business. This executive plays a pivotal role in shaping the marketing calendar, defining the product and innovation strategy, and developing compelling brand and product stories that fuel customer engagement, trial, and loyalty.
The role partners closely with senior cross-functional leaders across marketing, culinary, operations, finance, and franchise organizations to ensure cohesive planning and flawless execution across thousands of restaurants nationwide.
This is a hybrid role based in Irvine, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of brand, product marketing, and insights professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and performance.
Define the annual marketing and product strategy, including menu architecture, go-to-market priorities, and innovation roadmap.
Oversee the development and execution of the national and test product calendars in partnership with brand, digital, and cross-functional teams.
Translate consumer and market insights into actionable strategies that drive brand relevance and business growth.
Develop clear category narratives, positioning frameworks, and product stories that resonate with consumers and strengthen brand equity.
Partner with sales and food innovation teams to optimize pricing, positioning, and commercialization processes.
Present product and marketing strategies to executive leadership and franchise partners, aligning on priorities and building engagement across the system.
Ensure consistent execution and collaboration across marketing channels, from national campaigns to local activation.
Establish and track KPIs to evaluate product performance, marketing impact, and business outcomes.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in product, product marketing, or brand management.
5+ years in senior leadership, managing large teams and complex cross-functional initiatives.
Proven success launching and scaling mass‑market consumer products or services that both drive the business and strengthen the brand.
Deep experience developing integrated marketing strategies that connect brand storytelling with product performance.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; data‑driven decision‑maker.
Exceptional executive communication and presentation abilities.
Skilled at building influence and alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
$250,000 - $300,000 + bonus eligibility, equity and benefits
