The Marketing Manager will be responsible for coordination of all marketing operations at Alaskan Brewing Company. This position is accountable for driving revenue through creative and effective marketing programs and support consistent with Alaskan Brewing brand guidelines and its vision, mission and core values. The Marketing Manager provides leadership and direction to long‑term and short‑term marketing objectives, formulates strategies for attainment and develops performance standards for measuring progress. The position manages the performance of marketing operations and staff, with an understanding of financial ROI, and corporate culture. Includes cost center responsibility for overall marketing expenditures as well as collaboration with the sales manager on sales budget and profitability analysis.
Ability to imbue Alaskan’s culture within every market/sales project undertaken.
Strong understanding of the beverage marketplace and sales tools for national chain buyers, independent stores and distributor partners.
Oversight of brand‑related designs, packages, and materials used in promotions, programs, advertising, and branding.
Review of brand standards on a consistent basis, monitor and communicate brand standards, and assure brand protection.
Work closely with Finance to develop annual revenue, pricing, marketing and sales plans.
Develop a communication strategy which effectively engages the brand’s strategic target.
Lead the marketing team consisting of a Creative Project Manager, Marketing Specialist and other coordinators.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this person is a key member of the Sales & Marketing team working in collaboration with other Marketing, Sales and Leadership team members.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum five years of experience in a similar functional position; beverage industry preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead an on‑site and a remote workforce and get results through others.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, including project management.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, plus ability to motivate and negotiate with internal and external customers.
Financial/statistical and legal business skills.
Strategic and functional level problem analysis and resolution.
Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, databases, contact management software, word processing, and presentation software.
Experience with social media management and creation.
