Overview Our client, a forward-thinking digital solutions provider to the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking an experienced and innovative Chief Marketing Officer to lead strategic marketing initiatives. This role focuses on creating and executing impactful marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive demand for software solutions that support laboratory and manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and life sciences markets, possesses a track record of creating effective B2B marketing strategies, and excels in digital and content marketing.

Responsibilities

Validate product-market

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and support sales objectives in the pharmaceutical software market.

Design and manage high-impact digital campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and content marketing, to generate leads and boost engagement with key industry stakeholders.

Collaborate with sales, product, and executive teams to define and refine messaging that aligns with customer needs and industry trends.

Create content for webinars, whitepapers, case studies, and other thought leadership materials that establish the company as a trusted partner in pharmaceutical and manufacturing software solutions.

Lead the development and execution of marketing plans for trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.

Analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, using insights to optimize strategies and maximize ROI.

Stay current on market trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activities to proactively adjust marketing strategies as needed.

Support financing efforts with market estimates

Mentor and provide guidance to junior marketing team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Life Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree in a relevant area is a plus.

10+ years of experience in marketing to pharmaceutical, biotech, CDMOs, including establishing strategy and executing multiple product launches.

Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, content marketing, and lead generation.

Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and life sciences markets, with experience promoting complex software or technology solutions. Experience with software products and pharmaceutical manufacturing markets is a plus.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages for diverse audiences.

Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.

Experience managing trade show and event marketing, including pre- and post-event campaigns.

Analytical mindset with a focus on metrics and KPIs to drive campaign success.

Creative, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
