Role Responsibilities
The Director Stakeholder Communication is responsible for leading a team to develop and execute strategies that promote the organization, its plans, initiatives, and culture to various stakeholders. This position manages publicity, information, and communications to enhance the organization's image and reputation. Additionally, the role develops communications plans, strategies, content, and tools to advance business objectives. This position collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure effective communication and contributes to the overall success of the organization through strategic communication efforts.
Value to the team
- Manages direct reports on the communications team, including training, performance management, project assignment, budget adherence, and resource allocation.
- Identifies ways to partner, share best practices, and amplify successes.
- Acts as a consultant and strategic thought partner to leadership and marketplace communication teams.
- Partners with peers within the Communications Department to support team success.
- Manages consulting engagements and deadline-driven projects for business objectives.
- Builds and nurtures positive internal and external relationships to deliver integrated communication strategies.
- Develops and implements strategic communication plans for church leaders, members, and corporate employees.
- Leads research, crafting, execution, and evaluation of communication plans.
- Provides senior executives with writing, presentation preparation, and staff support for meetings, events, and activities.
- Facilitates proactive coverage in church publications and other communication channels to promote system initiatives and the spiritual mission.
- Provides relevant communication support for hospital mergers and acquisitions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's 4-year college degree in business management, public relations, journalism or communications Required
- 10+ Work Experience Required
- Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and project management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated understanding and effectiveness in media relations
- Proven ability to maintain confidential information and interface with all levels of employees, including executives
- Ability to learn and adapt to new communications practices and determine ways to apply marketplace trends
- Demonstrated ability generating and executing creative ideas
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Understanding of social media trends and technology
- 4+ year proven experience in managing teams in a business setting [Preferred]
- 5+ year experience in writing within the healthcare industry [Required]
