Subject.com is the Netflix of Education — building the future of learning through cinematic, video-first curriculum that students actually want to watch. We partner with school districts nationwide to help students catch up, stay on track, and get ahead. We’re seeking a dynamic Marketing & Events Coordinator to help us expand our reach and elevate our presence at conferences and events across the country.
Role Overview
This is not a “make what you’re told” role — it’s a creative seat on a fast-moving marketing team where you’ll design, edit, and bring campaigns to life that make Subject impossible to ignore. You’ll help drive our state-by-state GTM strategy — producing assets that fuel both digital campaigns and in-person activations across the country.
From cinematic motion graphics to conversion-driven one-pagers, website visuals, and merch design, you’ll craft content that turns attention into action. You’ll work side-by-side with our Director of Marketing and Brand team to ensure Subject looks as good as it performs — across web, video, social, print, and everything in between.
This role requires a rare blend of design precision, marketing instinct, and startup-level energy. You’ll touch projects that range from social reels and landing pages to direct mailers, event branding, and limited-edition merch — all built with speed, taste, and an obsession for standing out.
Responsibilities
Creative Production & Design
- Design high-impact static materials: one-pagers, case studies, sell sheets, social graphics, and ad creative.
- Produce and edit motion graphics for campaigns, physical mailers, tradeshow events, and social channels.
- Collaborate on web and landing page design to keep Subject’s digital presence clean, intuitive, and bold.
- Lead design and creative direction for branded merchandise and promotional items.
- Own the creative execution of Subject’s GTM strategy — ensuring every campaign looks premium, on-brand, and scroll-stopping.
- Partner with marketing leadership to brainstorm and execute creative concepts that drive awareness and pipeline.
Campaign Execution
- Support digital campaigns across social, email, and paid media with engaging creative assets.
- Build physical collateral for events and field campaigns — mailers, signage, booth visuals, giveaways, etc.
- Collaborate with the field marketing team to turn every campaign into a cohesive, multi-channel experience.
Brand & Content Consistency
- Uphold visual brand standards across all materials, ensuring every pixel and frame is intentional.
- Help evolve templates, creative guidelines, and asset libraries.
- Contribute fresh ideas to keep Subject ahead of design, web, and social trends.
Operations & Reporting
- Manage creative timelines, revisions, and deliverables with precision.
- Track campaign performance to identify what creative drives results.
- Analyze cost-to-create, leads generated, and revenue attributed to creative output.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and product teams to align visuals with business goals.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in design, marketing, or creative content production.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro) or equivalent.
- Experience creating motion graphics, editing videos, and designing for web.
- Strong design aesthetic with meticulous attention to layout, typography, and storytelling.
- Experience designing for digital (social, web, email) and physical (print, event, merch) environments.
- Analytical mindset — able to track and report the performance of creative assets, including cost to create, leads generated, and revenue attributed.
- Comfortable using data to inform creative decisions and optimize future campaigns.
- Exceptionally organized, self-managed, and relentless about detail and craft.
Candidates must submit a digital portfolio showcasing design, motion, and campaign work to Hollie@Subject.com. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
You Might Be a Fit If You…

- Can turn a static idea into a moving story or a scroll into a sale.
- Get excited by balancing bold creative with data-driven impact.
- Thrive in startup speed and aren’t afraid to own projects from concept to launch.
- Are obsessed with standing out, sweating the details, and building something great.
- You’re not just willing — you want to put in 70+ hours a week because you care deeply about building something great, moving fast, and making your mark.
