Motion Graphics Designer (Remote) Job at Cella in Boston

Compensation Range: $43 - 47 per hour

Role: Motion Graphics Designer

This contract role supports the digital advertising efforts across brand products for a sports mobile gaming client. You will design and animate digital videos that bring campaigns to life in a high‑speed, high‑performance environment.

Responsibilities

• Own production for a high volume of motion design assets (resizing, testing, landscaping, organizing and naming files).
• Collaborate closely with the Creative team and Project Managers to plan motion design that supports the creative execution.
• Partner with copywriters to storyboard and animate digital videos and playables for the channel.
• Create videos applying direct‑response best practices and design principles such as color, typography, organizing elements and usability.
• Stay current on marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technology.

Qualifications

• Creativity, collaborative spirit, confidence, initiative, and enthusiasm.
• 2-5 years of experience in a related role.
• Highly proficient in After Effects and other Adobe Creative Suite products, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of HTML5 and JavaScript is a big plus.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• A passion for design and animation with a relevant portfolio.
• Experience developing creative for major B2C brands.
• Understanding of direct‑response best practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of modern marketing (digital, experiential and social).
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• A plus if you have experience with automation and production tools such as Pencil AI, Storyteq, Bannerflow.
• Willingness to roll‑up sleeves and get the work – big and small – done.
• Avid sports fan and fantasy sports enthusiast.
• Experience with project management tools (Wrike specifically a plus).
• Experience using AI tools in design production to improve workflows.
