What You’ll Do
- Provide leadership in aspects of electronic resources and systems.
- Contribute innovative ideas and make strategic decisions based on academic program needs.
- Manage electronic resources including databases, e‑books, and online journals.
- Troubleshoot access issues and coordinate with IT or vendors to resolve problems.
- Coordinate trials for new electronic resources in collaboration with other library staff.
- Extract, analyze, and report data from library systems to support decision‑making.
- Manage and administer the integrated library system (ILS), including modules for cataloging, acquisitions, and ERM.
- Perform routine system updates, backups, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate the implementation of new software or system upgrades.
- Participate in campus and university committees.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA‑accredited library school.
- 2‑5 years of full‑time professional experience in electronic resources/systems within an academic library.
- Demonstrated experience with integrated library systems and electronic resource management.
- Strong commitment to public and customer service.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Good information literacy and information technology skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Second Master’s degree.
- Experience working with major library vendors and publishers.
- Experience with Innovative Interfaces Sierra or similar systems.
