Instruction Librarian
Location: New Haven, Connecticut
Salary: $65,000 – $90,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate library education and instruction programs to support learning in science, social science, and related interdisciplinary programs, as well as for undeclared undergraduates.
- Provide curriculum‑integrated instruction, library workshops, and bibliographic management support.
- Supervise and coordinate the Library Peer Mentor program.
- Collaborate with Yale faculty, instructors, and the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning to incorporate library information and learning objectives into syllabi, assignments, and courses.
- Partner with staff across YUL units (Computational Methods and Data, Special Collections, User Experience, Scholarly Communication and Collection Strategy, Areas Studies and Humanities, and the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library) for high‑impact projects and services.
- Collaborate with Research Engagement Librarians to provide instruction, workshops, orientations, and outreach activities.
- Participate in Yale Library planning, committees, task forces, and engage in campus, regional, and national professional activities.
Qualifications
- Professional experience in library instruction, research services, or academic support.
- Demonstrated success in supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational services.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and units.
- Knowledge of bibliographic tools and scholarly communication best practices.
