Role: Marketing Lead

Compensation: $190k - $220k + Equity

Location: San Francisco, California (5 days/week)

YOE: 5 - 10 years of experience in a marketing leadership role at a software, insurance, or fintech (financial services) business and 2+ years in a product marketing specific role

  • It is modernizing commercial insurance for high-hazard businesses (e.g., large-scale construction) by combining innovative underwriting with purpose-built software.
  • The company’s full-stack platform supports everything from submission intake to policy issuance and is complemented by native SaaS tools that improve client outcomes and drive differentiation.

About the role:

  • First dedicated marketing hire at the company.
  • Role is a marketing generalist leadership position, responsible for building out it’s marketing function from scratch and eventually scaling a team.
  • Reports directly to the CEO and collaborates heavily with the CTO and cross-functional teams (product, engineering, underwriting/sales, customer experience).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve it’s brand narrative and external positioning.
  • Lead a full website rebuild, including messaging, UX, and conversion optimization.
  • Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns, including digital, field, and product launch strategies.
  • Translate internal capabilities and product features into clear, compelling go-to-market messaging.
  • Create sales enablement materials and support business development efforts across stakeholder groups.
  • Identify and execute unique events or customer experiences that drive brand awareness and growth.
  • Be accountable for growth-focused KPIs and build a measurable marketing engine.
  • Manage external vendors or agencies as needed (e.g., for the website relaunch).

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5–10 years of marketing experience; rising senior or director-level.
  • Hands‑on operator who can handle both strategy and execution (party of one for now).
  • Experience in product marketing, brand development, and sales enablement preferred.
  • Background in B2B SaaS, FinTech, or InsurTech strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, startup environment with minimal resources.
  • Track record of full product lifecycle marketing (from messaging to launch to campaign analysis).
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills must be able to communicate complex products in a human, intuitive way.
