Senior Social Media Strategist

Location: Hybrid in NY

Responsibilities

  • Define, lead, and evolve our cross‑platform social media presence, shaping how the brand shows up in the digital world.
  • Own the social media roadmap, moving beyond daily execution to develop integrated strategies that align with business objectives around brand awareness, engagement, lead generation, and revenue.
  • Craft, document, and implement a comprehensive integrated social media strategy that defines role, content mix, and goals for each platform (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Conduct deep‑dive audience research and social listening to uncover insights that inform content strategy, brand positioning, and new market opportunities. Understand the customer journey across social touchpoints.
  • Determine the strategic role of each platform (e.g., TikTok for top‑funnel awareness & talent branding, Instagram for community & commerce). Define content pillars and narrative for each. Lead pilot programs to test and scale new opportunities.
  • Work seamlessly with the Performance Marketing team to develop and budget for paid social strategies that amplify organic efforts, target new audiences, and achieve specific conversion objectives.
  • Provide guidance and strategic direction to junior team members and content creators (mentorship).

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in social media marketing, with at least 2 years in a strategic or leadership role focused on multi‑platform planning.
  • A proven portfolio showcasing case studies of developed social strategies that delivered against business objectives (e.g., grew market share, increased brand lift, generated leads, improved retention).
  • Expert‑level knowledge of the evolving social media landscape, including algorithm changes, platform best practices, and the nuances of their respective audiences.
  • Strong analytical prowess with experience using social listening tools (Brandwatch, Sprout Social), social analytics platforms, and web analytics (Google Analytics) to derive insights.
  • Demonstrated experience with social media budgeting and paid social amplification.
