Marketing And Public Relations Coordinator

PR & Marketing Coordinator for Global Dining Inc. of California (GDC) will oversee the creation, coordination, and execution of marketing, digital communication, and brand initiatives for GDC restaurant properties including Settecento DTLA, 1212 Santa Monica, and La Bohème West Hollywood. This role combines creative content production, digital advertising, design, and public relations to strengthen brand visibility and guest engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities.
  • Build, implement, and manage marketing plans that include print, digital, and visual content.
  • Manage social media strategy and content across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Plan and execute digital ad campaigns (Meta, Google) and AI-driven promotions.
  • Create and manage email and SMS marketing blasts, newsletters, and event announcements.
  • Oversee updates and design improvements for all GDC websites.
  • Maintain and update online listings (Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor, OpenTable, Apple Connect).
  • Conduct one on‑site day per week for content creation (photo, video, events).
  • Develop seasonal marketing calendar for campaigns and collaborations with influencers or community partners.
  • Respond to general marketing and media inquiries received by email or contact forms.
  • Prepare monthly reports on campaign performance, engagement, and social growth.
  • Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities and negotiate media coverage.
  • Manage print contractors and promotional vendors.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Simplify complex data into user‑friendly visuals such as graphs, charts, and reports.
  • Coordinate with the team to design, revise, and refresh visually appealing menus and promotional materials.
  • Revise and refresh existing menus to keep offers exciting and relevant.
  • Ensure menu items are clearly labeled to accommodate various dietary needs.
  • Write engaging and descriptive menu descriptions that highlight the unique qualities of each dish.
  • Communicate and pitch regularly to major outlets such as Eater LA, LA Times, Infatuation, LA Magazine and other outlet writers for enticing articles about GDC restaurants.
  • Enhance major media exposure opportunities such as FOX, KTLA, CBS and other TV channels.
  • Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related (essential).
  • Two years of experience in content management, creative writing, advertising concepts, and media negotiations.
  • Critical thinker with strong problem‑solving and research proficiencies.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behavior.
  • Expert knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Ability to gather large amounts of data and convert it into meaningful analysis.
  • Solid organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex information into a user‑friendly format.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud and web editing packages.
  • Knowledge of OpenTable, Toast, and BentoBox a plus.
