Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to teach a variety of Radio/Television classes during a variety of times.
Position Information
Position Type: Faculty Employment – Adjunct.
Department: Communications, Languages and Reading.
Employment Status: Adjunct.
Salary: Adjunct Stipend.
Open Until Filled.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Radio/Television.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods.
- Able to demonstrate various presentation styles used in television (i.e., interviews, newscasts, and related on-camera skills).
- Able to demonstrate audio production skills (i.e., creation of commercials, PSAs, newscasts, editing news interviews).
- Able to demonstrate the use of a variety of equipment (studio cameras, a switcher, a field camera).
- Able to use related software (i.e., Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro) to demonstrate the editing of a variety of projects (PSAs, news packages, short video narrative).
- Available to supervise labs outside of the regular classroom time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching at the secondary or college level.
- Experience with an online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas).
