Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to teach a variety of Radio/Television classes during a variety of times.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Radio/Television.

Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods.
• Able to demonstrate various presentation styles used in television (i.e., interviews, newscasts, and related on-camera skills).
• Able to demonstrate audio production skills (i.e., creation of commercials, PSAs, newscasts, editing news interviews).
• Able to demonstrate the use of a variety of equipment (studio cameras, a switcher, a field camera).
• Able to use related software (i.e., Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere Pro) to demonstrate the editing of a variety of projects (PSAs, news packages, short video narrative).
• Available to supervise labs outside of the regular classroom time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the secondary or college level.
• Experience with an online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas).
