Location: Lansdale, PA | Full‑time | Onsite (Hybrid eligible after 6 months) | Signing Bonus Available
About The Role At Custom Craft, we believe thoughtful design transforms the way people live. As a Designer, you will guide clients through the remodeling and construction design process – from early concepts through final details. You will create drawings, space planning, cabinetry layouts, and specify fixtures and finishes that bring the client’s vision to life. Working closely with our sales and production teams, you will ensure designs are both creative and feasible, selections are finalized, and every detail is communicated clearly for successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site measurements, input existing conditions into CAD, and develop initial design concepts that reflect client needs, budgets, and project goals. Refine designs based on client feedback.
Guide clients through cabinetry, fixtures, and finish selections; develop cohesive design palettes; manage allocated design hours and expectations.
Assemble construction plans, cabinetry layouts, bills of materials, and permit submittals. Finalize and obtain client approval on all selections and design details.
Place orders for cabinetry and materials, prepare job binders, and participate in project handoff meetings with production staff. Provide design‑related support during construction.
Attend sales/design meetings, assist with design seminars and client events, and ensure the selection studio is organized and up to date. Represent Custom Craft with professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred.
4‑5 years of experience in the interior design/residential construction industry.
Proven success managing clients directly throughout the design process, from concept through project completion.
Proficiency in CAD software (Chief Architect preferred, 20/20, or Revit).
Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
Ability to read/understand blueprints, perform material takeoffs, and apply knowledge of building materials, methods, and code requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Personal vehicle for site/client visits.
