Manager, Senior Producer — Mattress Firm
Job Overview
Lead end‑to‑end production of creative projects, focusing on video, photo, and multimedia content that supports marketing and brand initiatives. This hybrid role reports to the BedQuarters location in Houston and requires remote work with in‑person video shoots twice a month.
Essential Responsibilities
Collaborate with creative, brand, and campaign teams to translate concepts into executable production plans.
Partner with internal teams (designers, editors, copywriters, project managers) to develop and deliver high‑quality video, photo, and multimedia content.
Ensure all creative output aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives.
Lead planning and execution of productions across campaigns, social content, and brand storytelling.
Oversee all production stages, including pre‑production, on‑set execution, and post‑production.
Maintain creative direction, brand integrity, safety protocols, and production efficiency.
Source, negotiate, and manage external vendors, freelancers, and production partners.
Travel within the U.S. as needed to support video production.
Develop and manage production budgets, schedules, and resources across multiple projects.
Maintain departmental workflow processes and archiving of assets.
Provide regular project status updates, risk assessments, and deliverables tracking.
Identify workflow improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
Manage and mentor a junior producer, focusing on still photography projects.
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and creative formats.
Complete all required training modules and certifications on time.
Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
Communicate professionally with internal and external partners.
Report concerns or issues to leadership to ensure departmental and company efficiency.
Non‑Essential Responsibilities
Support team development by mentoring junior producers or coordinators.
Assist in evaluating and onboarding new production vendors and technologies.
Contribute to creative brainstorming and pre‑visualization of content.
Execute company initiatives and other supervisor‑requested activities.
Update job knowledge through educational opportunities.
Suggest ways to optimize the team, department, and company.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media/Video Production, Communications, or related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Professional Experience
6+ years of production experience at an agency or production house.
Experience managing video, photo, or multimedia productions from concept through delivery.
Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
Skills
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Budget, schedule, and vendor contract management.
Leadership and collaboration skills for managing teams and partners.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Balance creative vision with practical execution.
High attention to detail and quality standards.
Knowledge
Production workflows (pre‑production, production, post‑production).
Adobe Creative Suite and Apple Final Cut Studio.
Video, photo, and multimedia production processes.
Production tools, equipment, and software (e.g., Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut).
Social and digital content formats and requirements.
Rights management, contracts, and licensing in production environments.
Licenses and Certifications
PMP or other production/project management certification (preferred).
Technical training in production equipment, editing software, or motion graphics tools (preferred).

Compensation
Competitive pay range of $90,000 – $105,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional bonus opportunities may be available at the discretion of the Company.
