Executive Producer WDRB — the #1 news station in Louisville — is seeking an experienced Executive Producer to help lead our newsroom’s nightly coverage. We’re looking for someone with strong news judgment, creative energy, and the ability to guide a team of veteran journalists to create engaging, high‑quality content across all WDRB platforms.

What You’ll Do Supervise the nightside news team to ensure writing, content, and presentation meet WDRB standards
Lead daily editorial coordination among producers, reporters, photographers, anchors, the assignment desk, digital, and news managers
Oversee and improve the quality, tone, and energy of nightly newscasts
Develop and execute special coverage for major events, sports, and breaking news
Collaborate with production, design, sports, and weather to elevate our on‑air product
Ensure scripts are accurate, ethical, and compelling
Step in to produce newscasts as needed
Partner with the digital and streaming teams to deliver cohesive, cross‑platform storytelling

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach a newsroom team

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a broadcast news producer
Proficiency with iNews, AVID, and AVID Cloud UX
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X)
