About The Position
Job Title: Pediatric Sleep Technologist Profession: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist Specialty: Pediatric Sleep Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in pediatric and/or NICU sleep study experience License: ND state license or willingness to obtain prior to start Certifications: BLS (AHA), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) via BRPT Must-Have: - BLS certification - RPSGT certification - ND state license or willingness to obtain Description: This position involves working 36 hours per week, during 12-hour night shifts from Monday through Friday. No weekends or on-call requirements are needed. The Pediatric Sleep Technologist will perform quality diagnostic polysomnographic tests, including titration, multiple sleep latency, and maintenance of wakefulness tests. Accurate data will be recorded and provided to physicians for diagnostic purposes in treating sleep/wake disorders. The role requires familiarity with computerized charting and utilization of specific software for sleep studies. Pediatric and/or NICU sleep study experience is essential. Registration by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists is required, as well as multi-state licensure privileges if applicable. The employee may be the only pediatric sleep technologist scheduled but will work alongside adult sleep technologists for support. Dress code includes dark gray scrubs. Training specific to pediatric and/or NICU sleep studies will be provided. Charting will be conducted using an electronic health record system.
