Mandate The mandate of the Chief Marketing Officer is to establish Withum as the nation’s most progressive independent advisory, tax and audit firm. An advisor for today…and tomorrow.
Reporting Structure + Location The Chief Marketing Officer will report to the Chief Growth Officer, Tom Hoberman. The Chief Marketing Officer can work from any of Withum’s 27 U.S. offices and is expected to return to the office three days a week.

Year‑One Deliverables
Elevate and differentiate the Withum Brand nationally by developing a unified brand strategy and launching campaigns that raise awareness of Withum and position its advisory offering.
Design and activate a modern MarTech stack that drives intelligence and performance by building a scalable, data‑driven marketing technology ecosystem that unifies CRM, analytics, and automation tools.
Position Marketing as a strategic growth engine by forging a stronger partnership with Business Development and Industry Leaders to create a unified firm‑wide growth plan and establish clear KPIs and a marketing ROI dashboard.
Create a firm‑wide annual go‑to‑market plan and communications calendar that aligns service line, industry, regional and local market priorities.
Ignite creativity and new ways of working by cultivating a culture of ideas, innovation and experimentation, inspiring fresh approaches to digital storytelling, social engagement, and market presence.
Experience and Qualifications
A strategic B2B marketing leader with pattern recognition; experience leading marketing for progressive B2B brands and a blend of strategic clarity, creative acumen, and data‑driven discipline.
Fluent in brand and demand marketing; 18+ years of full‑funnel experience spanning brand building, demand generation, and a portfolio of B2B campaigns delivering measurable growth.
A builder of modern marketing functions; led or transformed a marketing organization of 25+ professionals, designing structure, tools, and team culture to drive impact.
A creative thinker and change catalyst; embrace experimentation, digital storytelling, and AI‑forward mindset, challenging convention constructively and inspiring greater thinking.
A “We, Not Me” leader who elevates others; known for authenticity, ability to own the room, unite teams around shared goals, foster trust, and lead with humility and confidence while building an inclusive culture.
Compensation: $175,000–$375,000 base, plus a competitive benefits package and bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Final offer varies by role, location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
