Overview of Opportunity
Join the Wireless Division at Two Six Technologies in Herndon, Virginia , where we advance the state of the art in electronic systems and security research to support mission‑critical programs. We are seeking a Technical Writer to create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation for security research and electronic systems projects. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, analysts, and researchers to translate complex technical findings, experimental results, and R&D outputs into clear, structured, and actionable documentation for internal teams and government customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience producing high‑quality technical reports, manuals, and analytic summaries for complex systems, with the ability to synthesize detailed technical information into concise, accurate, and audience‑appropriate deliverables.
Responsibilities
Produce technical documentation supporting security research, reverse engineering, and vulnerability assessment programs.
Translate complex technical data, analysis, and R&D outputs into clear reports, summaries, manuals, and other deliverables.
Work closely with engineers, analysts, and researchers to ensure documentation reflects operational and technical realities.
Develop templates, standards, and best practices for technical writing across the division.
Review and validate technical content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Support internal teams and customer‑facing deliverables with executive summaries, visualizations, and technical explanations.
Contribute to knowledge management initiatives to preserve and organize institutional expertise.
Minimum Qualifications
Active Top Secret Clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or analyst reporting in a technical or security‑focused environment.
Proven ability to synthesize complex technical and analytical information into clear, concise, and accurate written products.
Strong understanding of electronic systems, telecommunications, or cybersecurity concepts.
Proficiency in standard documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, LaTeX, Markdown, or similar).
Ability to collaborate with technical teams to capture and translate findings into actionable documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting security research, reverse engineering, or vulnerability assessment programs.
Familiarity with technical diagrams, schematics, or workflow visualizations.
Prior experience producing documentation for DoD or Intelligence Community programs.
Knowledge of best practices for knowledge management, version control, and document lifecycle management.
Ability to adapt writing for technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive‑level summaries.
Security Clearance
Active Top Secret Clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary.
