The Bud & Marys Marketing Field Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing brand presence and driving sales through strategic merchandising, events, training, and customer engagement within cannabis dispensaries. This position will manage the company's brand representation, collaborate with dispensary teams, execute in-store activations, and provide valuable insights to inform broader marketing strategies. The ideal candidate has a passion for cannabis, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in retail marketing.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field; or 3+ years of equivalent experience in the cannabis industry, retail marketing, or merchandising.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in consumer product sales or retail marketing, with a preference for food & beverage or cannabis industries.
Direct experience with dispensary relationships and in-store marketing/activation management preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Brand Representation & Merchandising
Ensure brand standards are maintained in dispensaries through optimized merchandise displays and promotional materials.
Survey dispensaries weekly for inventory management, POS opportunities, and new product placement.
Oversee the setup and execution of merchandising in alignment with Bud & Mary's brand standards and marketing objectives.
Dispensary Engagement & Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong relationships with dispensary staff, management, and buyers, acting as the "face of Bud & Mary's" in the market.
Provide monthly in-store training sessions to ensure dispensary teams are well-informed and can effectively promote Bud & Marys products.
Coordinate and execute dispensary staff tours and Bud & Marys events, fostering stronger brand ties and in-store advocacy.
Promotions, Events, and Customer Engagement
Plan, organize, and execute promotional events monthly, including in-store activations, consumer-facing product demos, and educational pop-ups to drive brand awareness and conversions.
Collaborate with dispensary partners to create staff incentives and contests to increase brand loyalty and promote sales growth.
Engage with consumers directly at dispensaries to increase brand awareness and encourage product purchases.
Sales Support & Insights Gathering
Work closely with the Sales Team to ensure product availability and optimal placement of Bud & Mary's products in all retail outlets.
Gather and report insights from the field on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Evaluate customer objectives and provide tailored solutions to help dispensary partners generate additional sales.
Marketing Strategy & Coordination
Collaborate with the marketing team to align brand initiatives and coordinate cross-functional objectives, ensuring consistency across all consumer touchpoints.
Identify opportunities for increasing product placements and suggest innovative ideas to improve brand presence in dispensaries.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including event attendance, sales impact, and consumer engagement, and provide recommendations for future improvements
Assist with other duties as assigned or needed

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Lead the execution of campaigns that include product launches, retail activations, in-field events, and budtender education programs.
Manage marketing timelines and ensure that campaigns align with sales and product team goals.
Ensure all marketing and field activities comply with state cannabis regulations and industry standards, including maintaining proper certifications and badging.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
Analytical mindset with a proven ability to assess marketing initiatives and provide actionable insights.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL EFFORT NEEDED:
Must be able to lift at least fifty (50) pounds.
