Cataloging Librarian - University Libraries Job at University of Wisconsin Colle

* Create and update work procedures when necessary.* Assist with training, supervision, and evaluation of cataloging staff and student workers, including delegating tasks to achieve departmental goals.* Coordinate and assist withdrawal of materials.* Perform catalog maintenance projects as assigned.* Coordinate receiving, processing and cataloging material gifts.* Assist with annual statistics and other assessment projects.* Master of Library Science or related field/experience* Knowledge of cataloging rules, regulations, processes and procedures* Experience with library management systems* Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff and faculty* Ability to work independently under a variety of complex rules and regulations* Effective oral and written communication* Previous library experience and/or classes* Experience with cataloging or ALMA integrated library management systems* Experience with cataloging various formats of materials including electronic resources* Experience with multiple concurrent processes and procedures* Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.* Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations, including necessary training and drills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
