Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and at least four (4) years of experience in project management of systems or services.
Associate’s degree or higher in the same fields and at least eight (8) years of experience in project management of systems or services.
Licenses and Certificates Valid Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent from another state. Special Requirements
Be available to work beyond standard work day or work week hours as necessary.
Applicants must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint‑based background check within the first six months from hire and maintain CJIS eligibility. CJIS requirements include disqualification for felony convictions, felony deferred adjudication, class A & B misdemeanor deferred adjudication, class B misdemeanor convictions, an open arrest for any criminal offense (felony or misdemeanor), and family violence convictions.
General Purpose Under direction, plan, coordinate, and manage one or more projects that may impact a division or department throughout the project's lifecycle and implementation. Typical Duties Plan, organize, manage, and direct information technology project development. Submit proposals, budgets, scopes and schedules for IT projects. Initiate projects and perform analysis of end‑user and stakeholder business needs, feasibility, project definition, and authorization. Participate in discussions of project management goals and objectives with IT senior management, system owners and decision‑makers. Define and disseminate success criteria, communicate expectations to sponsors, team members, and stakeholders, and facilitate management and status review meetings.
Ensure adherence to product or project budgets; assist in developing and maintaining risk mitigation plans, processes and systems; document findings for future reference. Ensure compliance with Department of Information Technology standards, policies and procedures.
Supervise assigned personnel: schedule, assign, instruct, guide, and evaluate work; provide training and development; enforce personnel rules, regulations and conduct standards impartially; counsel, motivate and maintain harmony. Interview applicants and recommend hiring, termination, transfers, discipline, merit pay or other employee status changes.
Perform miscellaneous related duties as required, including conducting research and providing oral and written reports related to project implementation. Other Information This is an unclassified contract position.
