Big Machine Distillery is a fast‑growing premium spirits company with corporate offices located in Berry Hill. The sister company to Big Machine Label Group, Big Machine Distillery operates in a fast‑paced, creative environment and serves as the hub for our multi‑state sales team, our three tasting rooms located on 3rd Ave in downtown Nashville, on Bransford Ave in Berry Hill and our main distillery in Lynnville, TN. The Brand is growing nationally, leading to new and exciting ventures daily.
Role Summary The Marketing Manager serves as the Marketing Director’s key strategic partner, playing a central role in the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives across all Big Machine Distillery brands. Functioning as a hybrid
project manager and social media lead , ensuring seamless communication between internal departments, creative teams, and external partners while keeping multiple initiatives moving forward on time and on brand.
Key Responsibilities 1. Project Management & Marketing Operations
Act as the day‑to‑day lead on key brand campaigns and initiatives, tracking deliverables, timelines, and dependencies to ensure timely execution.
Maintain and monitor the master marketing calendar, proactively identifying overlaps, gaps, or resource constraints.
Coordinate across departments (sales, events, creative, digital) to align team efforts, facilitate handoffs, and ensure projects stay within scope and budget.
Create internal workflows and systems to increase organization, efficiency, and accountability across the marketing department.
2. Executive Support to the Marketing Director
Serve as a trusted thought partner to the Marketing Director, providing support in decision‑making, problem‑solving, and prioritization.
Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and internal communications.
Attend strategy and cross‑functional meetings on behalf of or alongside the Director; take notes, track action items, and ensure follow‑through.
3. Social Media Management
Lead content planning, creation, scheduling, and community management across all brand social channels.
Collaborate with creative teams and external vendors to produce high‑quality visual assets.
Analyze performance metrics to inform content strategy and optimize reach, engagement, and brand voice consistency.
Oversee influencer partnerships, ensuring they align with campaign goals and brand values.
4. Brand Stewardship
Ensure that all consumer‑facing touch points reflect consistent brand voice, tone, and aesthetics.
Review creative materials, social posts, and brand assets for accuracy, relevance, and compliance.
5. Event & Campaign Support
Provide support on marketing activations and events, assisting with asset coordination, messaging, and promotional strategy.
Partner with field marketing and events teams to ensure activations are supported with social coverage, email communication, and marketing materials.
Help develop post‑event and post‑campaign recaps to evaluate ROI and inform future efforts.
6. People & Process Management
Directly oversee and mentor junior team members (e.g., field assistants, content interns, or support staff).
Foster a collaborative team culture and ensure clear communication of goals and responsibilities.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement systems that support scalability and growth.
Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
3 to 5 years of Spirit Industry Marketing
Demonstrate a strong vision of marketing strategies
Demonstrate the ability to lead a marketing team
Possess competence to engage with graphic designers
Be a team player who helps others to support growth and success
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relations with staff and partners at all levels
Be highly resourceful
Have the ability to work under pressure, and be adaptable to various competing demands
Have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and have the ability to create comprehensive spreadsheets
Demonstrate a strong understanding of social media platforms, graphics programs, Google Ads
Salary $60k - $80k based off experience plus quarterly bonus structure.
