Position Summary Serve as lead social media manager for the Larner College of Medicine. Create and contribute content to a broad range of digital College communications channels, including social media platforms, e-newsletters, the Larner website, digital publications, digital screens, promotional event materials, and announcements. Serve as the College’s digital storyteller, engaging, inspiring, and communicating with the Larner College of Medicine community. Serve as project manager on digital communication initiatives, developing and implementing communications strategy, recommendations and channels, and assessing efficacy to update plans in line with changing priorities. Undertake digital projects that align with the college’s strategic messaging and goals. Guide and support development of digital content by local stakeholders to meet online communication standards and strategic goals while collaborating with College, Department, and Division colleagues to achieve effective digital communication outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Create and manage content across social media platforms, e-newsletters, website, digital publications, and event materials.

Develop and execute digital storytelling initiatives to engage the College community.

Project manage digital communication initiatives and assess their effectiveness.

Collaborate with stakeholders to align content with communication strategies and standards.

Support the implementation of digital communication strategies across College departments.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing or communications.

Three to four years of related experience.

Strong writing skills with the ability to explain the complex in simple terms and to tailor content to different audiences.

Demonstrated strength in developing visual and written content and in communicating effectively in a digital environment.

Experience with project management, communications, relationship building, and customer service across diverse constituents, including academic and administrative leadership.

Ability to meet tight deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and manage multiple projects.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with advanced social media analytics and strategy.

Familiarity with higher‑education communications environments.

Pay Range $64,000 - $69,000 per year.

Other Information Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.

Special Conditions Bargaining unit position. External candidates must complete a 4‑month probationary period. Hybrid schedule available with option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy. Background check required. Travel to and from work sites required. Position is eligible for a hybrid schedule.
