You are a strategic, collaborative communications professional who excels at elevating off‑the‑field stories to support the overall brand. You thrive on relationship‑building, creative thinking, and multitasking at a high level. You are a go‑getter, detail‑oriented, and capable of media training and managing various club spokespeople. Above all, you are approachable, assertive, and an excellent communicator who aligns with organizational priorities and values. Key Responsibilities

Oversee day‑to‑day corporate communications media relations, managing inquiries and interviews, and developing press releases, talking points, speeches, and presentation decks. Support sporting communications initiatives, including providing match coverage for home and away matches and providing overall strategic guidance to junior staff. Create and maintain strong relationships with local and national media outlets, pitching and securing interview opportunities. Develop internal communications strategy that aligns and informs staff, fostering a connected and informed organizational culture. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Community Impact, Fan Development, and Revenue teams to ensure consistent messaging on all corporate‑related announcements and initiatives. Develop business, community, and brand‑related storylines and narratives to craft pitches for external content and assist in creation of internal content (newsletters, digital/social platforms). Manage, mentor, and develop Communications Intern and provide guidance to junior staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, accountability, and professional growth. Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Typical office conditions. Ability to work nights, weekends, including standing at sporting or other events for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to other markets for away matches, league meetings, client entertainment, and other business development activity. Required Skills & Qualifications

BS/BA degree in communications, journalism, or related field. 4+ years of experience in field or related field. Minimum 1 year of people management (interns or part‑time staff). Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in professional or collegiate sports. Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company vehicle driving standards. Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred). Compensation

Base salary range: $80,000 – $90,000 per year. Benefits
