Job Description Be an integral part of an agile team that constantly pushes the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver top‑notch technology products.
As a Software Engineer III within JPMorgan Chase’s Asset and Wealth Management – Technology team, you lead multiple teams and manage day‑to‑day implementation activities. Your responsibilities include identifying and escalating issues while ensuring all work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain existing applications – with emphasis on the Java‑based code bases
Design, develop, test, deploy and support new services or add new features to existing services using Java, Python and optionally JavaScript/TypeScript
Maintain deployment and testing jobs that integrate into firm‑wide SDLC tooling
Stay on top of technology rules, firm requirements, trends and best practices to ensure code is future‑friendly
Maintain proper documentation and share knowledge with other team members
Engage with project managers, business analysts, developers, testers, and product owners to ensure timely implementation of deliverables
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and a minimum of 3+ years of applied experience
Strong engineering experience focused on Java or Python
Effective communication skills, able to convey concepts clearly to team members and clients, and adapt to diverse client cultures
Desire to work with a variety of technologies and passion for driving quality and improving software development productivity
Strong design, coding, testing and debugging skills
Experience with API testing, integration testing, behavior‑driven development, and test‑driven development
Knowledge of services and API layer development and testing
Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins/TeamCity, and version control using Git
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience and interest in AI/DS tools such as LLM or other related technologies
Experience and interest in digital document processing – parsing, converting, storing, previewing, etc.
Understanding of web technologies (e.g., React, HTTP, REST, HTML, CSS)
