We invite talented Interior Designers to join TowerPinkster, a leading architecture, engineering, and interior design firm with offices in Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky.

The Interior Designer will lead design and technical responsibilities across projects, creating working drawings and specifications that meet client and construction needs.

Responsibilities

Act as project lead on varying scales and typologies.

Develop design documents in 2‑D and 3‑D to illustrate programs, materials, and design solutions.

Understand and coordinate expectations in Programming, Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Development, and Construction Administration.

Show strong design capabilities in space planning, finishes, custom millwork, and interior architecture.

Perform coordination with the project team to create interior design documents.

Assist in detailing, model building, and illustration of design documents.

Review and revise product specifications for the project manual.

Review shop drawings and submittals.

Research code requirements and barrier‑free guidelines for interior environments.

Create presentation documents and 3‑D renderings using Revit, Enscape, Lumion, or other 3‑D software.

Continue to refine design and technical skills.

Attend meetings to set goals and objectives for projects.

Meet with product representatives to learn options and industry trends.

Foster strong client relationships and continue engagement.

Mentor junior team members and promote learning opportunities.

Delegate work assignments for growth, matching responsibility to individuals, and provide mentorship and coaching.

Work independently while coordinating with the Department Manager for reviews and resources.

Act with integrity, trust, and a commitment to excellence.

Collaborate within a team environment, balancing individual and team responsibilities.

Demonstrate patience, good listening, and comprehension skills.

Show problem‑solving and creative abilities.

Take responsibility for own actions and complete tasks on time.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program.

1–5 years of experience preferred.

Working toward or having obtained NCIDQ Certification.

Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

3‑D computer graphic skills preferred, as well as hand sketching ability; Enscape proficiency is a plus.

Knowledge of building code, barrier‑free, and ADA requirements as they relate to interior design.

Dynamic graphic presentation skills with strong design and communication ability.

Understand constructability and material selections that support design expression.
