Job Overview United Auto Exchange (UAX) is a one‑of‑a‑kind dealer auto auction offering a wide range of vehicles, from national consignors and new‑car store trades to fleet/lease units and powersports. We are looking for a Condition Report Writer (CR Writer) to assess vehicles entering the auction for condition, depreciation, missing parts, mechanical issues, and damage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect exterior and interior of vehicles entering the auction, identifying damage, missing parts, and mechanical issues.
Document vehicle condition by completing the appropriate report, capturing photos, and entering data systematically in a timely manner.
Maintain vital communications with Fleet Lease, Mechanic, and Detail Department—keeping each department informed of any issue(s).
Relocate vehicles to the proper staging zone post‑inspection.
Resolve any customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner; advise management of all complaints or incidents.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to drive vehicles with standard and manual transmission.
Mechanical aptitude strongly preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Must be willing to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
Requires good time management, organizational, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
Frequent and/or prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping.
Must be able to lift or move items at least 25 pounds.
Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Physical Work Environment
Exposure to outdoor environmental conditions, temperature changes, outside weather, slightly elevated noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, and dust.
