The Associate Account Direct / Account Director, Influencer Marketing position is a remote, work-from-home role, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners. Some travel is required for client or internal meetings, conferences, etc.
Role As the partner marketing landscape continues to evolve, various channels and tactics are coming together in exciting ways, and Acceleration Partners is leading the charge. We are seeking an experienced senior‑level digital marketing professional with leadership experience to autonomously manage cross‑regional teams for our influencer marketing practice. The candidate will serve as a high‑level client‑facing liaison, often acting as a point of escalation for the AP and client teams. They will develop and manage KPI‑driven influencer marketing campaigns for consumer products and/or services companies, and possess working knowledge of the overall partner marketing landscape, including affiliate.

Portfolio Growth (Strategy, Execution, Performance and Expansion) – Ability to think conceptually, imaginatively, and systematically. Provide high‑level strategic guidance and partnership to teams to ensure program goals are met and risk areas are mitigated proactively. Work with the team to innovate strategy and efficiencies. Identify expansion opportunities internally with the team and externally with client contacts. Assist in developing expansion proposals and pitching to client stakeholders. Strong focus on achieving YoY growth KPIs.
Lead, Manage and Hold Your Team Accountable – Oversee account teams, managing and leading team members and supervising high‑level account activities. Assist in hiring and develop team through mentoring, coaching, identifying training needs and providing feedback. Demonstrate track record of growing team capabilities and motivating A‑players while managing out poor performers. Monitor team happiness and retention metrics, resolve trends, and work with stakeholders on resolution plans.
Superior Client Service (Communication, Satisfaction, and Retention) – Build strong relationships with client contacts and establish relationships at multiple levels within the client’s organization, including C‑level contacts. Provide superior client service, act as a point of contact, manage 95% of client escalations and appropriately elevate issues. Ensure client confidence in our team through quality outputs and communication, reflected in retention and a Net Promoter Score of 8+.
Resource Allocation and Profitability – Manage monthly utilization rate, staffing plans and resources for the sales pipeline. Ensure accounts are profitable and within scope, and work with the team to adjust scopes and find new opportunities to increase portfolio revenue, reflected in high retention rates.
Internal Responsibilities – Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to address customer needs and scale the business for long‑term goals. Disseminate information timely, lead process improvements, encourage efficiency, build value for the organization by proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and flag key risks to senior leaders.
What Success Looks Like By 6 months, the Associate Account Director/Account Director is overseeing day‑to‑day operations of multiple influencer programs across regions with little guidance. They have formed strong relationships with key client contacts, recognized by the client as a leader. Programs show MoM growth, performance meets or exceeds client goals, and quality standards are upheld. Team coaching is effective and decision making is independent. Client Net Promoter Scores are 8+.
By 1 year, the Associate Account Director/Account Director autonomously owns performance and success of all programs and regional responsibilities. Outcomes consistently meet or exceed client expectations. Team efficiency is maximized, strategic plans and communications are in place, and expansion opportunities are successfully pitched. Client retention is secured, deliverables are A‑caliber, and satisfaction scores remain at 8+.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
6+ years of digital marketing and agency experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Proven leadership track record: interviewing, hiring, developing, coaching, and performance management of direct reports.
Solid understanding of omni‑channel and digital marketing with a track record of running successful influencer campaigns for consumer products and/or services companies.
Working knowledge of attribution in digital marketing.
Strong understanding of how influencer and affiliate marketing can work together.
Experience with influencer tools (CreatorIQ, GRIN, etc.) preferred but not required.
Knowledge of affiliate networks or SaaS platforms (Impact, ShareASale, Commission Junction, etc.) – preferred but not required.
Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally.
Analytical mindset, comfortable with data analysis and reporting.
Advanced Excel capabilities: formatting, formulas, customizing reports, etc.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Strong independent decision‑making, organization, planning and problem‑solving skills.
