Job Summary/Description
WPTA, 21Alive – Fort Wayne’s news leader – seeks a passionate MMJ/Reporter to cover breaking news, dig deeper into important stories, and contribute to 21Alive+, our digital platform. You’ll work with a dedicated team that values mentorship and enjoys the resources to help you grow as a reporter.
Responsibilities
- Daily assignment reporting
- Develop contacts to break important stories
- Leverage journalistic skills and curiosity to dig deeper into major issues
- Fill‑in anchor and produce newscasts
- Contribute content to 21Alive+
Qualifications and Requirements
- Comfortable delivery and ability to connect with the audience
- Strong social media presence
- Ability to work with a dedicated team
- Four‑year college degree
- More than five years of experience working as a reporter in a TV newsroom
