Piping Designer Job at Info Way Solutions in Fremont

Overview Position: Piping Designer Location: Kingsport, TN Duration: Initially 6 months contract Pay rate: $66.64 per hour USC and GC only Responsibilities Piping Designer with AutoCAD Plant 3D (current) experience, capable of producing modeled deliverables that are safe, free of errors, and with minimal supervision. The designer should have experience designing piping within the Chemical, Refining, or Petrochemical industries and be able to interpret Piping Material Specifications, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and have familiarity with industry codes and standards. Skills and Experience Ability to model piping and equipment with AutoCAD Plant 3D software Determine appropriate pipe support types and required locations Experience with Model Review software, preferably Navisworks Familiar with Laser Scan and model combinations Development of General Equipment Arrangements Skills Preferred AutoCAD Plant 3D Pipe Design & Pipe Support Design experience Capable of planning work to align with project budgets and schedules Experience and Education Experience required: 10 years or more of Piping Design within Chemical, Refining, or Petrochemical industries; 3+ years of AutoCAD Plant 3D Education required: Tech diploma in Drafting / Design Additional information Candidates that primarily have 6-9 month assignments repeatedly will not be considered as it shows past dissatisfaction from employers. Candidates whose current position (past 12 months) is not in Piping Design will not be considered. There is a sentiment that someone who has done Electrical, Structural, and other disciplines besides Piping should not be considered since Piping is depicted somewhere on the resume.
