Overview
Marketing and Business Development Coordinator in Minneapolis, MN; Denver, CO; or Salt Lake City, UT. This role supports Dorsey’s practice and industry groups, collaborates across offices, and contributes to the firm’s marketing and business development efforts. If you are a self-starter who enjoys cross-office collaboration and works well in a team environment, we would like to hear from you. Responsibilities
Coordinate office marketing and business development events, sponsorships, local and regional seminars and presentations, receptions and special events, including all aspects of event planning, execution and follow-up. Prepare materials, brochures and promotional items for events, sponsorships, seminars and presentations. Handle logistics for select firm sponsorships and galas, including paperwork (payments, ads, logos), seating, and post-event follow-up to maximize benefits. Support select practice and industry groups in cross-selling efforts, implementation of practice group business plans, upkeep of practice group webpages, and tracking group experience, in collaboration with MBD Managers. Assist MBD team members in assembling marketing materials, including presentations, pitches and proposals. Coordinate complex events and sponsorships calendars and related budgets for regional offices. Assist in preparing rankings and award submissions (e.g., Chambers, U.S. News-Best Lawyers). Support maintenance and effective use of marketing technology platforms and AI tools to enhance team efficiency. Monitor the Marketing inbox, respond to routine requests, and route inquiries to appropriate team members to ensure timely follow-up. Contribute to the implementation of firm-wide marketing and business development plans. Establish relationships with regional organizations aligned with Dorsey’s practices and industry groups. Assist Marketing professionals with client intelligence-gathering efforts, often in conjunction with Information Resource Services. Other duties as requested. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree. At least 1-2 years of related experience at a law firm or other professional services firm. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under time constraints. Ability to work in a team environment. Strong interpersonal skills and professional disposition. Ability to work flexible hours to support and coordinate events. Willing to travel on a limited basis as requested. About Dorsey
