Audio Visual Operations Manager Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking

a

Audio Visual Operations Manager

. In this role, you will manage sales and operations within the Audio Visual Department while supporting the Audio Visual Supervisor in effectively overseeing labor and equipment inventory to meet the needs of multiple meetings, events, and resort-wide systems. You will also collaborate with the Convention Sales team to operate in a for-profit environment and ensure that guest service consistently exceeds expectations.

You’ll

ensure

seamless and high-quality technical execution for meetings, events, and entertainment throughout the property, enhancing the overall guest experience through flawless presentations and memorable moments. Through supporting associates with reliable AV systems and efficient coordination, you will empower teams to deliver exceptional service and create engaging, worry-free events for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Track equipment to ensure zero loss and prevent damage.

Ensure a safe working environment, abiding by all safety precautions.

Attend EO/Menu review meetings when requested .

Continue to obtain skills to be competent in all in-house technology.

Maintain the highest quality of service related to all banquet and meetings service .

Greet and maintain warm, hospitable guest relations in all guest contact .

Maintain a high quality image of the resort through effective housekeeping, maintenance, and sanitation in cluding cle anliness of all storage rooms , service areas and equipment.

Solve, rectify and mediate all guest complaints and maintain guest complaint reports and respond to guest needs as they occur .

Consistently act in accordance with Company’s management relation’s philosophy, strategy and procedures as well as Company policies and procedures and department SOP’s .

Maintain a harmonious relationship with all other departments within the hotel.

Participate in staff meetings to ensure optimal communication between entire staff.

Understand all duties of Banquet Teams and maintain

constant communication with Banquet and Resort Managers.

A ssist Banquet Teams when needed , as well as other resort departments .

What We’re Looking For

Proficient in the Management of skilled technicians supporting hospitality meetings and events.

Knowledge of audio, lighting, video and rigging systems to direct staff successfully.

Have the ability to create a rapport with clients and associates. Maintain a high standard of production value and client service.

Ability to create diagrams to clearly communicate AV setup and logistics .

Understanding Dante AV-over-IP network and Crestron control.

Create show production schedules.

Schedule and supervise AV staff, control

labor, and minimize overtime.

Previous experience as an AV Supervisor or preferably an AV Manager.

Ability to create and read rigging diagrams to assist clients with production logistics .

Must be able to read, write and fluently speak English . Bilingual skills helpful .

Must have the ability to work with clients, management, and associates.

General knowledge of the practices and procedures of a convention center, hotel conference services, and/or banquet department.

Prior experience leading a team of skilled audio-visual technicians .

Proven ability to plan, schedule and execute production requirements.

Having a broad understanding of the day-to-day operations of a hotel/resort and convention center operations is helpful.
